Stop Naples Drag

Beautiful day in Cambier Park today. So glad we were able to stop the drag show from happening in front of our kids here in the park.

It's crazy that a majority of the City Council, led by Mayor Teresa Heitmann, approved such a thing.

Blessed to live in a city where illicit ideologies are defeated, not celebrated. Even if we have to go against our own Mayor to get it done.

After defeating the drag show scheduled to take place in front of children in Naples, we asked ourselves: "What's next?"

After much consideration and prayer, we decided that it was necessary to launch an organization that is ALWAYS ready to take on issues of such importance, not just when they get a lot of attention.

That's why Church & State was founded. To be an advocate for Christian conservatives in Naples and beyond.

Cambier Park has hosted a number of Memorial Day ceremonies over the years. The Veterans Memorial at the corner of the park is a humbling reminder of the countless servicemen and servicewomen who have sacrificed their lives for our nation.

We at Stop Naples Drag are so grateful for all who have served in our nation’s armed forces. It is your sacrifice and your bravery that has afforded us the freedoms we enjoy today.

“In March, members of the political group Stop Naples Drag protested the Naples City Council’s earlier decision to let Naples Pride hold its annual LGBTQ event Naples PrideFest in Cambier Park. The event usually includes drag queens.

The group has pledged to stop all drag shows in Naples where kids might be present, not just Naples PrideFest. Their website calls PrideFest's drag shows an "inappropriate display of unadulterated wokeness."

“We believe that our community’s children should not be exposed to sexually explicit content in our streets,” they wrote in Messenger. “It’s that simple.””

A bill is headed to Governor Ron DeSantis's desk that would prohibit businesses from holding drag shows in front of children.

This is a no-brainer. Our organization is 100% in support of this bill.
