While Tom was out in the field doing what he does every day, checking on animals in our community, he noticed a small dog chained outside a trailer.
Wanting to give the owners the benefit of the doubt, he continued checking on the dog over several days, hoping it was only a temporary situation.
It wasn’t.
Day after day, the dog remained outside. When Tom was finally able to intervene, he found the little dog without food or water, chained in the elements, unable to move freely.
Tom went door-to-door until he found the “owners” and was able to convince them to surrender the dog.
Today, this sweet pup is safe.
He’s been treated for fleas, is settling into a foster home, and for the first time in a long time, he knows what it feels like to be cared for.
Now he needs the one thing we can’t give him: a forever family. 💚
If you can provide this deserving boy with the loving home he’s been waiting for, please call Tom at 239-825-5834.
Please share to help us find him the happy ending he deserves.

Our Cats Are Hungry… and We Need Your Help!
Every day, we care for cats and kittens who have nowhere else to go. Some were born outside. Some were abandoned. Some are recovering from illness or injury. All of them depend on us for food, safety, and care.
Right now, our cat food supply is running low, and we could really use your help restocking our shelves.
Our most-needed items are:
🐾 Purina Friskies Pate Wet Cat Food (Seafood & Chicken Favorites)
🐾 Purina Cat Chow Naturals Dry Cat Food
With so many mouths to feed, we go through food faster than you might imagine. Every can and every bag helps us continue caring for the cats and kittens who rely on us.
If you’d like to help, donations can be dropped off at our clinic or purchased through our Amazon Wishlist (https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2SX220H2IN6VH?ref_=wl_share).

A huge thank you to the amazing 5th graders at Herbert Cambridge Elementary for creating and donating handmade blankets for the animals in our care! 🐶🐱
After finishing their end-of-year testing, these thoughtful students participated in a stress-relief activity where they made cozy blankets for shelter pets. Not only did the students have fun creating them, but these blankets will provide comfort, warmth, and a sense of security to animals who need it most. 🙏
Thank you to the students, teachers, and staff at Herbert Cambridge Elementary for thinking of our furry friends. 💚 These blankets will help so many animals feel cozy and safe while in our care. 🥹

We have some great news to share: Winky’s eye removal surgery went wonderfully, and she is now recovering like a champ! 💚
This brave little girl has been through so much in her short life, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has followed her journey and cheered her on.
Now Winky needs the next step in her recovery: a safe, loving foster home where she can rest, heal, and continue getting stronger.
Could you open your home to this sweet girl for a little while?
If you are able to foster Winky, please call Tom at 239-825-5834.
Even if you can’t foster, sharing this post could help us find the perfect temporary home for her.
Thank you for being part of Winky’s journey. Let’s help her find the safe landing spot she deserves. 🐱💚

Look at these adorable little kittens who came to see us yesterday for a wellness visit! 💚
These babies are estimated to be just 3–4 weeks old. They were rescued Monday evening and their rescuer quickly made sure they got the care they needed. ❤️🩹
One of the kittens was appearing lethargic, so they brought the entire litter in to be evaluated.
At this age, kittens can decline quickly when they’re sick, dehydrated, or not getting proper nutrition, so early intervention is incredibly important.
We’re happy these little ones are now safe, warm, and receiving the care they need. 🐱✨

This tiny kitten has already endured more than any baby animal ever should.
She was found living on the streets alongside her two sisters. Tragically, one of her sisters did not survive.
Now this little girl is fighting for her own future.
She has a severe eye injury, and despite everyone’s best efforts, the damage is too extensive to save the eye. On Tuesday, she will undergo surgery to have it removed.
The good news? Once her surgery is complete and she recovers, she has every chance of living a happy, healthy life. Cats adapt incredibly well to life with one eye, and we are determined to give her that chance.
But she needs our help.
Every rescue comes with medical costs, and this sweet girl’s surgery is one more expense added to the growing list of animals depending on us.
If you’d like to help give this kitten the future she deserves, please consider making a donation toward her care. No amount is too small, and every dollar goes directly toward helping animals like her.
