Today I’m walking through a tri-level addition that completely reimagined how this home lives.

There are multiple moments in building a custom home when you feel like you’re almost there… and drywall is one of them.

It’s exciting — because the house finally starts to feel real.
But it’s also one of the most frustrating stages of the entire process.

Drywall has to be done right the first time. Every seam. Every corner. Every ceiling detail. And just when you think you’re ready to sand and move on… another coat of mud goes up. And with the mud comes more dust. Everywhere.

The completion of drywall doesn’t mean “finished.”
It means the entire house is covered in dust — again — only to be cleaned before the real finishing touches begin.
