The quote by Rebecca Yarros really resonates with me, as someone who often struggles to . Like many, I can easily get overwhelmed by the endless responsibilities and demands of life, feeling like I'm drowning in stress. However, this quote reminds me that it's not about completely avoiding or eliminating stress, but rather learning how to manage it and take care of myself in the process. Just like a drowning person can't be drowned further, my stress cannot consume me entirely if I learn how to navigate through it and seek help when needed. Sometimes, when things or challenges keep piling on me it makes feel like I am sinking deeper. But that's when I have to remind myself that dealing with my challenges is akin to swimming upwards until I can get to the top where I can finally take a breath. And if I start to feel like I can't tread water on my own, I have supportive friends and family I can contact for support and guidance. I believe this quote beautifully aligns with the idea of "starving the stress" and "feeding the calm," as it reminds me that no matter how overwhelming things may seem, doing things to take care of myself such as setting and prioritizing my tasks, can help me find some sense of even during the most daunting times.
