We regret to inform that Retired Lieutenant Sam Vest passed away this morning surrounded by family. Lieutenant Vest retired in 2016 after 21 years of service to the City of Myrtle Beach and served as a Fire Inspector for 15 years. Lieutenant Vest also served as a Past President of the International Association of Arson Investigators. Lt Vest has been an integral part of the Myrtle Beach Fire Department for many years and he will be missed.

For Dry pipe systems:
If trapped water is less than 5 gallons, a valve not smaller than ½ inch and a plug, or a ni**le and cap should be used.

If trapped water is more than 5 gallons, two 1” valves should be used separated by a 2” dia. x12” length condensate ni**le as per the attached figure:
