We are a student-driven, community-serving weather resource for East Central Indiana. We are comprised of Ball State Meteorology students.
The Cardinal Weather Service is comprised of meteorology students and faculty from Ball State University's Department of Geography and Meteorology. We provide daily forecasts and weather information for the Ball State/Muncie/Delaware County area. We also provide forecast for groups and events in the area. Skies will be overcast today. The rest of the week up to Friday will be sunny and hot so make sure you bring something to hydrate yourself! Friday will have a 30% chance of t-storms and rain.

Good morning! Thunderstorms roll in this afternoon starting around 5 p.m. with some having the chance to be severe. These storms will move out after 2 a.m. A slight drop in temperatures will follow before more rain on Wednesday drops temperatures to below the average of 68 degrees. The sun will be fully out on Thursday while mixing with clouds on Tuesday and Friday.

Good morning! We begin today in a freeze warning until 9:00 AM before temperatures reach into the 50s. A warm shift will take place Tuesday as daily highs rebound into the 70s. Lots of sunshine can be expected this week through Thursday aside from some clouds and a spotty shower Wednesday. Decent rain chances return on Friday. Have a great week!

A stormy start to the weekend will bring cooler temperatures as well. Sunshine will return for us on Sunday as well as the chance for some frost.

Good morning! The week ahead will feature plenty of cloud cover with rain chances possible for the duration of the week. The largest chance of rain will be on Wednesday, but spotty showers cannot be rules out for the remaining days of the week. Sunshine returns on Friday just in time for the Late Nite Carnival. Temperatures also remain well above the average high of 63 for this time of year.
