This week we started our biggest job to date a new Chipotle restaurant in Big Rapids. Starting off with removal of the existing parking lot and retaining walls. Next up is cutting the site down and installing the site utilities.

WE'RE HIRING

We are looking to add a motivated individual to our residential and commercial excavation team.

Equipment operating experience and/ or CDL Preferred.

Responsibilities include:
Operating various pieces of heavy equipment such as excavators/ skids steers/ dozers.
Perform tasks such as installing underground utilities, grading, excavating foundations
General labor tasks as needed on site
Reading plans/ grade stakes
Perform daily equipment maintenance as well as maintain a clean work environment
Work as a team with other crew members

Valid drivers license and clean driving record required, must have reliable transportation and be on time.

We’ve spent the last couple weeks getting this wooded lot ready to build on before weight restrictions come on, looks like we made it just in time!

Looking back on a great year of growth for Toth Excavating we added a couple of great employees to the team and a few more pieces of equipment to better serve our customers. Thankful for all the opportunities we’ve been given and relationships we’ve built along the way. We’re still plugging away at some of our winter projects but we are looking forward to an even better 2026!

We started this parking lot replacement job a while back, it was recently paved and we are back here working on placing topsoil. We excavated new areas to add parking completely changing the layout to be a more efficient use of space before removing the existing asphalt. We then added additional aggregate and graded it for paving

Been a busy fall so far here are a few of the jobs weve been working on: a garage addition in Lake City, garage in Mt Pleasant, a pad for a cabin in Lake and some concrete prep work for a new build in Mt Pleasant

A flashback to a job we did this summer that I forgot to post pictures from, we dug and backfilled this 35000 square foot foundation in Oscoda for their new community center

This driveway was recently paved and the owner wanted to have topsoil brought in to match up to the asphalt, next step will be seed and straw to finish this project off

A polebarn driveway we did today, we also added a parking area along side the barn for trailer storage
