Update on FAITH! All systems are go!!! The captain replaced one of the chargers and all 6 batteries this weekend, all AGM now! Charge readings are good. Everything works again!!!
The removal of the sofa and the installation of the new one has started. That is going to be so nice for my back! Still dealing with that issue. Another doctor visit this morning.
Hopefully travel plans soon! Will keep you posted!

So true!!!

I know it’s been awhile, so you have been overdue for an update!
The captain is closing in on the battery issue. We think one of the chargers failed and overcharged the house batteries. This led to the loss of all DC power. Water, toilets, lights, navigation, throttle controls. Basically everything except things that could be plugged into shore power.
New AGM house batteries are installed. When the captain went to install the new charger he had a major surprise. Apparently someone ordered one from Amazon, and replaced the new one in the box with their old Rusty one!!!! People will never stop amazing me. Or should I say , disappointing, me. So sad. So… another weekend shot. The new charger , again, is arriving tomorrow. Hopefully it will really be new.
And we have decided to upgrade to all AGM batteries, 6 total, to allow them all to play nice with each other. Hopefully the isolators are still good, he will deal with them this weekend. Fingers crossed.
On a bright note, my new sofa arrived! Same as we had on the Mainship, just longer! Double recliner. So comfortable!!! Can’t install this weekend. Battery issues first.
We are missing the water and our boating family. We were so blessed with a quick visit from the crew of Galian, Jack and Gail, to take our minds off of this break. We even got a few quilt stores in for the admiral !
It’s so dry back here in Charleston. Everything is struggling to grow. Hard to believe the gardens I used to have up north. Getting closer to giving up gardening completely. Too sad.
So keep us and the Captain, in your thoughts as he navigates electric issues. May this be the fix to get us going again!!

Hello our dear followers! Well…. Our shake out cruise went a little differently than we intended. 10 hours into it we started with flickering lights. Today we are being towed back to Southport. Thank goodness for AI. Never thought I’d say that but she saved us from what could have been far worse problems. Our charger for our house battery failed which overheated the house batteries which messed up the isolator. No DC means no water, no heads, no lights. Dark is very dark!! lol!
This morning we were able to go three hours on the engine battery until the loss of DC power affected the throttle controls. Bright side? I’m learning more about electrical systems than I ever thought possible!! lol!
We are being towed now by the angels of Sea Tow! If you are a boater and don’t have it, you should!!!!! Worth its weight in gold!!
We will miss traveling with our boat buddies, Dreamcatcher and Galian, but I’m sure we will be side by side again soon! Galian , have a ball on the loop! Please give Gail a hug from her FAITH, if you see them!!!
Instead of a three hour cruise we had a two hour tow! Could be worse! Could be raining! Love to all!!
I do have one more request. We have been towed for over 2 hours today and not one boater who passed us slowed down. Not one! Loopers included! To say I’m disappointed in our boater family is an understatement. Capt Scott slows down for everyone! It’s a bright yellow boat with flashing lights. Kind of hard to miss. You make it so dangerous, even the small boats, for both the tow Capt and the boat that is being pulled. Please think twice next time. It could be you one day. Thank you.

Happy Easter to all! He is Risen!!!!
Beautiful Easter Day here in Southport with our dear friends, Norma and David on Dreamcatcher! Started off with a bit of breakfast and then dropped them at a church of their choosing. We had the most un-Easter church service we have ever been to. The first thing the spokesperson said is that most of the world is celebrating the resurrection and we don’t do that. Every Sunday is going over the price Christ paid on the cross.

While yes, the price is beyond our understanding , the resurrection brings the story full circle with our new life in Christ. I’m not going to mention the church or criticise, but I don’t think we will be returning. All I can say is that I really missed the message of Joy we usually get on Easter Morning! Thank you God for that gift of your Son and our new life in Him!!
Meanwhile …. Yesterday we had the name changing ceremony for “More FAITH”. On NEBO, AIS and documentation she will just be FAITH. TRADITION!!!
We shared our joy with the crew of Dreamcatcher and the past crew of Ineffable! Champagne was poured into the water for Poseidon and into cups for the crew and friends! The original name was cleansed from the sea forever with a toss of an “inscribed “ coin in the depths of the watery world. The appropriate toasts were made to the N, S, E and W winds for smooth sailing! She is officially FAITH! May our Heavenly Father who has protected us for so many miles, continue to do so with this new vessel. Amen

What a lovely day with our buddy boat crew of yore! Today we spent the day with the crew of Dreamcatcher, Norma and David, Birthday Boy of the day!! We started off the day with a delicious breakfast at our favorite spot, ( Sunrise Bistro), and the first breakfast spot ever with our friends, 3 years ago. Then we jumped in one car with Bella the Boat Dog and went over to Magnolia Plantation in West Ashley. It’s Azalea time and they did not disappoint!! Just a perfect day with dear friends!
Friday we meet in Southport for Easter Weekend and the changing of the name ceremony on Saturday! Our new Vessel will officially become More FAITH!! We will record the whole ceremony! And then we will take off for a week or two or three, and put her through her paces!! Adventures ahead!!
