🐓🐦 Meet Rooster & Birdie

A good Samaritan reached out after noticing some young kittens hanging around his property. He became especially concerned when Birdie's mom and siblings disappeared, leaving this tiny kitten all alone. He didn't want Birdie to suffer the same fate.

He also mentioned that the kitten had an older female friend who was always by her side. That "female cat" turned out to be Rooster, a six- or seven-month-old boy who had seemingly stepped into the role of Birdie's surrogate parent. He watched over her, stayed close, and made sure she wasn't alone.

The two are absolutely inseparable. 🤎 Birdie finds comfort in Rooster's presence and often snuggles right up to him. It's clear that he became her safe place when she needed one most. (And don't worry they got vetted and Rooster neutered right away! 😹)

It's a beautiful reminder that family isn't always defined by blood. Sometimes, it's the ones who choose to stay by your side when you need them most.

We're so grateful these two found their way to safety before Birdie's story became another heartbreaking "what if." Welcome to rescue, Rooster and Birdie. 🐾

We were contacted about at least 6 young, friendly cats living behind a restaurant on a busy roadway. The moment food appears, they come running—not because they know you, but because they're hungry. 💔

These cats are affectionate and workable, but every day they face the dangers of traffic, and without intervention, this colony will continue to grow.

We can't help them without your support. We urgently need:
🏡 Foster homes (even temporary ones)
💚 Donations for vet care and supplies
🙌 Volunteers to help

We didn't realize Benjamin was part dragon, but one look at his treasure hoard and it all makes sense. Toys? Mine. Cat tree? Mine. Your heart? Also probably mine. 😹
