Helping patients achieve independence and restore mobility and strength are the primary goals of the Pink Ribbon Program. We help to restore physiological function and QOL by addressing the side effects of surgery/treatment such as lymphedema, decreased cardiovascular function, immobility and postural changes. Cancer diagnosis and treatment can be physiologically and psychologically debilitating.
The life-force of the Pink Ribbon Program is to ensure that every woman has the ability to regain a sense of wellbeing that had been lost from diagnosis through surgery and into recovery. This can be achieved, in part, through an exercise therapy programme designed specifically for the needs and challenges facing the growing number of breast cancer survivors.

The Pink Ribbon Program is a huge asset to the YMCA of Middle Tennessee’s After Breast Cancer (ABC) Program. It educates our trainers on safe practices and exercises for breast cancer survivors. Patients are often nervous about what they can and cannot do after various surgeries. They can rest assured that our trainers are equipped to help them navigate regaining strength, energy and stamina in the safest way possible thanks to The Pink Ribbon Program. 🌹💪👏💕😊
