Dinosaur Ridge is an outdoor dinosaur & geology museum 20 minutes west of Denver, Colorado near Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. daily.
It is a 2024 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Awards Winner and part of the Morrison-Golden Fossil Areas National Natural Landmark. A world-class dinosaur tracksite with more than 250 dinosaur footprints to explore. BREAKING NEWS: A toddler-rave at Red Rocks has shut down Entrance 1! SERIOUSLY. Our apologies, but the Martin G. Lockley Discovery Center will be closed today, Sunday, June 14 because traffic cannot access the museum. Please come see the Deep Time Detour exhibition any other day. Rock on toddlers.

The tracks at Dinosaur Ridge are part of a much larger fossil trackway that stretches from Boulder to northern New Mexico, giving visitors a rare chance to see where prehistoric creatures actually moved through ancient Colorado.

As Colorado celebrates 150 years of statehood in 2026, Dinosaur Ridge is also celebrating 150 years since major dinosaur fossils were first uncovered near Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre! 🦕
Back in 1876, these discoveries helped put Colorado on the paleontology map. Today, visitors can still walk beside real dinosaur tracks and fossils, making Dinosaur Ridge the perfect place to celebrate Colorado’s prehistoric past! 🌎✨
