Unexpectedly caught a spawning rainbow this weekend. I always avoid casting towards redds (trout nesting bed), but had I known this beauty was pregnant, I would have kept her safely in the net. As soon as I saw the eggs, I returned her to the water. Anyone know how to identify a pregnant trout?
