Dempsey Racing Enterprises - DRE

Does anyone know where I can buy some 2AN wrenches? ICT Billet no longer makes the #2 wrench (got an email back from them) and I haven't been able to find any still in-sock anywhere!

I've done several on-line searches and haven't been able to locate any! So, does anyone have any ideas where to find them?

The new big 16" wide slicks GoodYear slicks "worked perfect" on the Cav!!! The car stuck and went straight down the track "every pass" yesterday at the King of the Valley event, Thunder Valley Raceway Park Noble, Oklahoma!!!

I had low ET in the semi-finals, but had a bad light and got beat on Reaction Time.

However, I'm super happy with how the car is performing with the bigger slicks! This was the first event at Thunder Valley this season that I didn't have any tire-shake whatsoever!!! Too bad I didn't figure-out the slick issues earlier in the season!!! 😎

I’m getting tired of tire shake and breaking loose “down track” when I bring the power in! 🤬

So, I’m set-up now with some new wider 16” GoodYear slicks. D1408s with the D5 compound.

I thought about the wider slicks and did a test fit several years ago, but ended-up staying with the smaller ones.

However, I’m “all in” now on the bigger slicks and we’ll see how they perform next race!

I’m doing some chassis checking and tuning, and taking everything to the next level with the Cav.

I have the car setting on the wheel cribs to have the chassis properly loaded so I can get under it and check a few critical items on the drive trail and suspension.

One was the transmission trail-house angle in-relation-to the driveshaft, which I found too much angle. So, I’ve corrected that with some shims under the tail housing and crossmember,

RacePak experts, I need some help here trying to figure-out exactly what was happening with the driveshaft RPM at about 1-second into the run and just before the shift. (yellow circle)

It appears the tires were slightly breaking loose, however, the driveshaft RPM "quit increasing" and just flatlined for one 1-second before it shifted and that cost me a round win???

Normally, the driveshaft RPM would continue to increase even when the tires are breaking loose. I can't figure-out exactly why it would flat-line like it did??? The nitrous was on solid the entire run, so it was under full-power!

Let me know what you think! I have about 10 years experience with RacePak, but I don't have any idea what's going on here???

I just finished rebuilding my Jeg’s recoil tow strap. Somehow it got all twisted-up and miss-wound! Basically completely jacked-up at the race Saturday.

I added some plastic bushings on the strap guide to narrow the strap path, so maybe the tow strap can’t get twisted in the spool in the future.

I also had to wind it up and pre-load the recoil spring! It’s working great again, so hopefully it will stay that way!

Does someone in the OKC area have 4 Wheel Cribs I could borrow next week for a few days? They can also be the ones that are home made using 2X4s wood!

I thought about buying a set of 4 Race Ramps, but they would be over $500.00 and I hardly ever need them!

I got some heavy duty Global Industrial parking Bumper Blocks for the driveway and race car trailer. These blocks are super nice!

So when I get home late and tired at night after a race, I just back up to the shop until I bump the blocks.

Then, I’m the correct distance to open the rear trailer door and also don’t have to worry about backing into the shop.

I had this old 2007 NHRA poster professionally mounted on a backing sheet at Hobby Lobby today and it came out great! Another cool drag racing memorabilia item I have.

It has been in my closet since 2007 I’m thinking and I finally got it mounted.

So, does anyone know what this, where it goes and what it does on a race car?

I hope it fixes the problem with the programmable timer in the nitrous controller!

I’m headed to Thunder Valley Raceway Park Noble, Oklahoma tomorrow for the big King of the Valley race! I’m running the 4.70 Index.

The past several weeks I’ve been working my ass off and completed several performance updates on the Cav!

The car is finished now and ready to go racing this weekend! Hopefully it will perform really well and maybe I can go some rounds this weekend!
