I stopped by to remind you on this beautiful day that it’s ok to let go. It’s ok to move on. It’s ok to evolve. It’s ok to want different. It’s ok to want more.

But in order to grab on to something new, you have to be willing to let go of something old 💯

With that said.. what’s one thing you know it’s time to let go of? It’s almost the end of 2022 and the perfect time to do just that 🙏🏾

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I don't have a big New Year's resolution other than becoming more active with encouraging others to Get Their House In Order. 💯

Just the other day we had to update/revise my mom's Will because my sister passed in 2019 and she was listed as a beneficiary. If she had stayed listed on the Will it would have changed the dynamic of the distribution once the Will was probated.

Each state has different probate laws and is important to know what those are and consult a lawyer before putting your important documents in place.

Please take the time and ensure you are protecting yourself and your family by making sure those important estate planning documents are in place!!

"If there is a need to probate a will in Alabama, it’s best to do it quickly. Wills are not effective in Alabama unless they are filed for probate in Alabama within five years from the death of the testator."

"Alabama does not recognize handwritten (holographic) wills. Holographic wills are entirely in the handwriting of the testator. In some states, holographic wills are deemed valid regardless of whether or not they are properly witnessed. There is no such rule in Alabama. A Last Will and Testament will only be admitted to Alabama probate if it is properly signed and witnessed in accordance with Alabama law."
