We had a wonderful time connecting with families at the Montgomery Public Schools Back to School Bash this weekend! 💙

First Choice Women’s Medical Center was honored to be there alongside so many incredible community organizations, meeting parents, answering questions, and sharing about the services and support we provide to families throughout the River Region.

We are especially grateful for our partnership with Montgomery Public Schools, where we are privileged to provide the Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) curriculum in all MPS middle schools. Investing in students through education, healthy relationships, and wise decision-making is an important part of our mission.

A special shout-out to our School Program Director, Khandi, for representing First Choice so well! It was so special to see her reconnect with parents and students from previous years, a wonderful reminder of the lasting relationships built through this program.

How sweet is this mother-daughter duo?! 💕

This soon-to-be grandma faithfully attends every parenting class alongside her daughter, and there’s even more exciting news… she’s also expecting a baby girl! 🎀

They shared that once their newest little one arrives in November, they plan to have a special photo with Great-Grandma, Grandma, Mom, and baby girl, four generations of girls together. What a priceless gift! 💗

We can’t wait to meet this precious little one, who will carry on her grandmother’s name. It is such a joy to walk alongside families and celebrate these beautiful moments together.

We have a new addition to the First Choice team!!! Please welcome Kylie Pugh as our new Operations Director in Training!

Kylie is a graduate of Faulkner University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in business administration; with previous experience in both accounting and human resources.

Kylie's husband is Chandler and they have two daughters, Eleanor and Lacey. The Pugh family enjoys spending time together watching sports and going to Disney World.

A huge thank you to sleep consultant Jada Davis for sharing practical, encouraging tips on all things baby sleep! From healthy sleep schedules and bedtime routines to sleep training and creating restful habits, our parents walked away with valuable tools they can begin using right away.

We’re so thankful for community experts like Jada who invest in the families we serve. Every class is another opportunity to equip, encourage, and walk alongside moms and dads as they navigate parenthood! 💙

The Choose Life Symposium is an annual gathering that brings together pro-life organizations from across Alabama to collaborate, learn, network, and encourage one another in the shared mission of supporting life.

We were honored to be part of this year’s symposium, and we’re especially grateful that our Executive Director, Bethany Garth, had the opportunity to lead one of the day’s workshops, sharing insights and best practices with others serving women and families across our state.

We are thankful for opportunities like these to grow together, strengthen relationships, and continue serving our communities with excellence.

We are so thankful for everyone who attended today’s in-service! It was a blessing to have not only our staff but also so many of our incredible volunteers join us for this special time of learning and encouragement.

Today’s training focused on having gospel conversations, learning to ask thoughtful, Spirit-led questions that open the door to meaningful conversations and point hearts to Jesus.

At First Choice, it is a privilege to walk alongside those who are hurting, facing difficult decisions, or searching for hope. We desire for every interaction to reflect the love, grace, and truth of Christ.

A special thank you to our own Robert for leading today’s training and to our Executive Director, Bethany, for continually encouraging and equipping our team to faithfully live out our mission. We are grateful for each staff member and volunteer who serves with compassion and shares the hope of Christ with those who walk through our doors.

Last week in our Thrive class, we were excited to welcome Jovonna Gunn from Extension/EFNEP as she kicked off our 6-week Today’s Mom series.

We’re grateful to partner with programs like Today’s Mom to equip growing families with practical tools, encouragement, and confidence throughout pregnancy. At First Choice, our Thrive classes are designed to provide education, support, and community as parents prepare to welcome their little ones.💙

Fathers First Dad Lunch began in August 2019. In January 2022, the name changed to Certified Dad Lunch and it has been growing strong ever since.

Meet the Top 4 participants of Certified Dads with an accumulative total of 560+ Dad Lunch hours! Iron is sharpening iron; growing fathers are pouring into brand new dads weekly at Fathers First.
