We are so thankful for our board and the faithful leadership, wisdom, and support they bring to First Choice! 💙 Our board and staff enjoyed a special evening of dinner and fellowship, celebrating the mission we share.

We also began a “knit together” tapestry inspired by Psalm 139, adding testimonies that reflect God’s beautiful handiwork and the privilege of serving women, men, and families together. We will continue adding to this piece, celebrating the lives and stories He is weaving together.

We are so grateful to the Elmore County Economic Development Authority for this incredibly kind spotlight on our Elmore County location! 💙

It is such a privilege to serve women, men, and families throughout Elmore County with compassionate care, education, practical resources, and ongoing support—all at no cost to our clients.

A huge thank you to First Baptist Church of Montgomery for blessing the fathers in our Certified Dad program and our staff with such a wonderful lunch! We are so grateful for the delicious meal and the kindness and generosity shown to our First Choice family.

And what a special gift to receive beautiful flowers to brighten our offices and encourage our staff! Those thoughtful touches mean so much and made everyone feel especially loved.

We love getting to walk alongside moms in every season of motherhood.

This sweet mama is continuing to participate in our parenting program while caring for her newest little one. Even when it isn’t your first baby, every child and every season can bring something new, and we are grateful to provide encouragement, education, and practical support along the way.

At First Choice, we want moms to know they have a place to come for resources, support, and a caring community as they continue growing in confidence and caring for their families.

And of course, we never turn down the opportunity for a few sweet baby snuggles! 🥰

Help us welcome Laurie Gregory to the First Choice family! 💙

Laurie joins us as a Staff Nurse with more than 30 years of nursing experience. She earned her BSN from AUM and a Master’s in Health Studies from the University of Alabama.

Laurie retired from the Alabama Department of Public Health after serving in several leadership roles, including WIC State Breastfeeding Coordinator, Title X Family Planning Program Manager, and Regional Perinatal Coordinator.

Laurie and her husband, Patrick, have been married for 44 years. They have two grown daughters—Sarah, an interior designer for Auburn University, and Emily, an audiologist serving in the U.S. Air Force—and three grandchildren.

Laurie attends Vaughn Park Church of Christ, and one of her favorite passages is 1 Peter 1:3–5.

We are so thankful Laurie has joined our team and is bringing her years of experience and heart for women and families to First Choice! 🤍

Did you know we have an incredible team of Dadvocates who volunteer alongside Robert, our Fatherhood Coordinator, to encourage and support the fathers who come through our centers?

These men faithfully give their time in so many ways: meeting one-on-one with dads, attending our Dad Lunches and Dad Burrito Nights, helping assemble baby items, assisting with landscaping, and stepping in wherever they are needed.

Our Dadvocates offer encouragement, practical help, and a positive male presence for the fathers we serve. We are so grateful for the way they invest in dads and families at First Choice.
