Well...this little secret is starting to get harder to hide. 👀

Walls are going up, plans are coming to life, and every week we're getting a little closer.

There is still a WHOLE lot to do...but I can finally start seeing what I've had in my head for months. ❤️

And yes...the yellow wall is going. 😂

Well, daggum it!

I’ve known Tea Olive Designs for well over 10 years.

When I first met her, I was a planner/florist and she and her husband owned a specialty rental company.

Fast forward all these years and somehow we switched places. 😂

Now Kelly and I own a rental company, and she’s the planner/florist.

This past weekend we got to work together one last time. This GORGEOUS wedding was her grand finale before retirement.

And y’all...she’s dang good. Organized. Prepared. Thoughtful. She knows what needs to happen and makes sure it happens. 💪👊

She's what a planner should be.

And no I'm not just saying this because she sent Kelly home with a box of the BEST chocolate chip cookies I've ever eaten. 😝

Gosh I hate to see her retire, but I sure am glad Brendles got to be part of her grand finale. ❤️

Somebody WILL Notice.

And this time…somebody did. 😂

This bar went out on a job and the finish just wasn't right!

So after a long, HOT day, it came right back to the shop.

These guys sanded the entire thing down, restained it, and re-delivered the next day.

Nobody wanted another project at the end of that day. 😩

But once we knew it wasn't right, we HAD to make it right.

That's what Somebody WILL Notice means to me.

We won't get it right 100% of the time, but you best believe we're sure going to try. ❤️

Our life before Brendles…part 3. 😂

We really thought THIS was hard.

Before Brendles, Kelly and I spent about six years flipping houses at Lake Martin.

We had our boys and some really good friends jump in and help us along the way, but a whole lot of the time it was just me and him.

We demoed. Painted. Built. Hauled. Cleaned. And apparently occasionally just laid down on the job. 😂

I remember thinking more than once, this is HARD.

Then we bought Brendles.

Bless our hearts.

We had absolutely no idea what hard was. 🫣

Every single person in this picture works at Brendles now (and 4 more relatives 😜).

Turns out house flipping was just the warm-up.
