First Touch Family
Offering 💙 Hope 💙 Healing 💙 Community💙 to families who have lost a child, regardless of the child’s age. In 2016 we lost our son Christopher.
As expected, it turned our world upside down. After years of muddling through our grief and learning how to let great grief and great joy reside in the same space we felt God calling us to establish First Touch Family. Our prayer is that we would be able to support families as they navigate their own loss and that we would bring hope and healing to their journey. A journey that only someone who ha

💙It’s National Nonprofit Day!💙
Today we’re celebrating the nonprofits across our country who show up, serve faithfully, and make a difference in the lives of others.
And today, we’re especially grateful for YOU—the people who make the work of First Touch Family possible.
At First Touch Family, we walk alongside families experiencing the unimaginable loss of a child. From the trauma of the initial loss through aftercare, we provide tangible, financial, and emotional support so grieving families don’t have to walk this road alone.
Every Blessing Box delivered.
Every sibling supported.
Every financial grant provided.
Every birthday and Heaven Day remembered.
Every conversation where a grieving parent is reminded, “You are not alone.”
None of this happens without people like you.
So, on National Nonprofit Day, would you consider making a gift to First Touch Family?
Whether it’s $10, $50, $100, or $1,000, your gift helps us continue walking with families when they need support the most.
❤️🩹Give today. Help us turn compassion into action and grief into a journey where no family has to walk alone.

GRIEF DEFINED FROM A BEREAVED MOM
People think grief is crying.
But as a mother who has lost her son, I can tell you it’s so much more than tears.
It’s waking up every day knowing the child you raised & loved isn’t here anymore, and somehow still being expected to keep going.
It’s being irritated by everyone and everything—not because you’re angry at the world, but because your heart is carrying a pain that never takes a day off.
It’s noises feeling too loud. Simple questions feeling overwhelming. People needing something from you when you have absolutely nothing left to give.
It’s snapping over something small, then sitting alone wondering, “Who have I become?”
It’s your body and soul begging the world to just leave you alone for a while because every ounce of your strength is being used just to survive another day without your child.
People see you standing. They see you working. They see you smiling once in a while. What they don’t see is the mother whose heart was buried with her son.
Grief isn’t just sadness. It’s exhaustion. It’s loneliness. It’s anger. It’s love with nowhere to go!!
The hardest part isn’t that I cry. The hardest part is learning how to live in a world where my son no longer does.
If I seem different, it’s because I am. A part of me left with him, and that part is never coming back.
So if you know a grieving parent, please be patient. We aren’t choosing to be this way. We’re simply trying to survive unimaginable pain while carrying a love that death could never take away...

💙 A Note From First Touch Family 💙
We want to sincerely apologize to the four families whose child’s Heaven Day acknowledgment did not post as intended. We know how important these days are and how much it means to families to have their child remembered, honored, and spoken of.
While the posts did not appear as they should have, these precious children were never forgotten. Each child matters, and it is our privilege to honor their lives and walk alongside their families.
Today, we are sharing their Heaven Day acknowledgments and inviting you to learn more about each of these beautiful children through our Heaven Day Tributes.
Please take a moment to read their stories, remember their names, and help us honor their lives. 💙
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever a part of their families’ stories.
