First Touch Family
Offering 💙 Hope 💙 Healing 💙 Community💙 to families who have lost a child, regardless of the child’s age. In 2016 we lost our son Christopher.
As expected, it turned our world upside down. After years of muddling through our grief and learning how to let great grief and great joy reside in the same space we felt God calling us to establish First Touch Family. Our prayer is that we would be able to support families as they navigate their own loss and that we would bring hope and healing to their journey. A journey that only someone who has lost a child can truly understand. First Touch Family has allowed us the honor of walking with families through the trauma of child loss from the initial loss, helping meet emotional and/or financial needs, identifying resources, and connecting families with aftercare in their communities.

We Truly Believe We Are Better Together.
Blake and I had the joy of joining our dear friends, Jamie and Bob, at their church, First Baptist Farmerville in Louisiana. It was a meaningful time as we met their pastor, Kurt Auger, and got to see firsthand the Kingdom work they are doing in their community and beyond.
Because of Jamie’s heart for First Touch Family, this precious church and its members came alongside our ministry before we ever had the opportunity to meet them in person. What a beautiful reminder that God is always at work, often connecting people and ministries long before we understand why.
We never know how the Lord is going to provide or who He is going to connect us with. But it has been such a blessing to see how God has woven together churches, ministries, and people who have a heart for the broken and a desire to share the Hope we have in Jesus that, in grief, reminds us of the Hope of Heaven.
Today, we want to say THANK YOU to our ministry partners who have come alongside First Touch Family. You have given us wings to fly, encouragement to keep going, and the opportunity to reach families in some of the darkest days of their lives.

Behind every Bible stamped by hand, there is a family who is struggling to survive after the loss of their child.
We are so grateful for Paul Stege Ministries and their heart to help us place God’s Word into the hands of grieving families.
These Bibles are more than a book. They are a reminder that even in the darkest valley, God is still present. His Word is still true. And there is still HOPE.

Sometimes God’s redemption doesn’t look like getting back what we missed.
Sometimes it looks like sitting in a parking lot, waiting on your kid, and realizing… He was still writing the story all along.
