Oparc participants recently volunteered at the Cal Poly Farm Store, lending a helping hand by sweeping and keeping the store looking its best! 👏😄

Volunteer opportunities like this provide meaningful ways for participants to connect with their community while developing workplace skills, responsibility, teamwork, and greater independence.

We’re proud to see our participants making a difference while gaining experiences they can carry with them into future opportunities! 🩵

🦖A day of discovery at the San Bernardino County museum!

Oparc participants took learning out into the community with a visit to the San Bernardino County Museum! III From exploring fascinating exhibits to discovering local history, there was something new around every corner.

Outings like these are about more than having a fun day, they create opportunities to explore new interests, practice social skill, and feel more connected to the community. 🎟️😄

Oparc participants enjoyed an art therapy class at the
SCIL Center, using creativity as a fun and meaningful way to express themselves. 🎨🖌️

Art therapy can offer many benefits, including: ✨
-Encouraging self-expression
-Building confidence and self-esteem
-Strengthening fine motor skills
-Providing a relaxing and creative outlet
