Foster care is more than numbers on a page — it represents children navigating uncertainty, change, and challenges no child should face alone. Every child deserves safety, stability, support, and the opportunity to thrive. When we advocate, foster, mentor, or simply show up for children in care, we help remind them that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

May is National Mental Health Awareness Month and National Foster Care Awareness Month 💛
It is important to recognize the overlap between the two. Many children and youth impacted by foster care experience mental health challenges at a significantly higher rate than their peers.
These concerning statistics should move us to advocate for every child in care to receive adequate trauma-informed support and care, ensuring that children and youth do not have to face these challenges alone.

What if the next step of obedience God is calling you to is simply opening your heart to learn more?
“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Foster care is more than providing a bed — it is walking alongside children and families during some of the hardest moments of their lives with compassion, stability, and love. While not everyone is called to foster, everyone can take the first step of learning more.
If you have ever considered becoming a certified foster parent or simply want more information about the process, we invite you to attend our upcoming Foster Parent Orientation!

Saying “yes” to fostering does not mean having all the answers — it means being willing to show up, love well, and allow God to work through your home and heart. One caring adult can make a lifelong difference for a child in need.
