When you have a bottle calf it is important to have a big bag of powdered milk replacer in the kitchen.

It is even more important that we have someone designated for quality control.

Molly assures us that the milk replacer is top quality!

LORETTA HAD HER CALF!

Loretta gave birth to a beautiful little bull calf this afternoon around 4:30 PM. While we were hoping for a heifer we are happy that both momma and baby are healthy and doing good!

Congratulations to one of my Favorite people Mrs. Dewana Richardson on winning the contest!!!

We got the opportunity to participate in an Artificial Insemination certification course this week! We had so much fun, met a lot of great people and learned so much! Now we’ve got to get some cows bred!

Thank you LSU AgCenter for hosting such a wonderful course!

We’re watching the weather closely over the next several days. As of now, we will not be scheduling appointments for this Friday. Next week’s appointments are TBD, depending on the type and amount of precipitation we receive. We will be available for emergencies if the roads are safe to travel. In the meantime, add salt to everyone’s food and make sure you have plenty of hay and grain for the next week or so! Stay safe, everyone!
