Stop trying to memorize the “perfect” answer to every interview question. 👀
A strong interview isn’t about having every answer rehearsed word for word. It’s about knowing your story, your value, and the results you’ve created well enough to talk about them confidently.
Before your next interview:
🤎 Research the company and the role
🤎 Know the value YOU bring
🤎 Prepare real examples from your experience
🤎 Practice telling those stories using the STAR method
🤎 Remember—you’re having a conversation, not taking a test
The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is to walk into that interview prepared enough to show them exactly why you deserve to be in the room.
Save this for your next interview and send it to somebody who’s job searching right now. 🤎
And if you’re ready to get more intentional about your next career move, Career Momentum can help you get started. Link in bio.

Your résumé is NOT a job description. 👏🏾
Stop filling it with “Responsible for…” and start telling employers what you actually accomplished.
What changed because YOU were in that role?
What did you improve?
What did you increase, decrease, build, fix, or lead?
Instead of:
“Responsible for onboarding new employees.”
Try:
“Streamlined the onboarding process for 700+ employees, improving the new-hire experience and supporting stronger retention.”
Your responsibilities tell them what your job was.
Your RESULTS tell them why they should hire you. 🤎
One email can change how people see you professionally.
If an email frustrates you, you don’t always have to respond right away. Write your response, walk away, and come back to it with a clear head before you hit send.
Career growth isn’t just about how well you do your job. It’s also about how you communicate, especially in difficult moments.
Your communication is part of your professional reputation. Protect it. 🤎
Stop doubting what you bring to the table. 🤎
You’ve gained the experience. You’ve solved problems. You’ve developed skills. You’ve made an impact.
But here’s the part we sometimes miss: you have to be able to articulate it.
People can’t recognize the value you bring if you’re constantly minimizing it or waiting for someone else to notice.
Know what you bring to the table. Learn how to communicate it. Position yourself for what’s next.
That’s how you start creating Career Momentum. 🤎
Can I take some pressure off you? 🤎
You do NOT have to know what your “dream job” is right now.
Sometimes the next step isn’t about figuring out what you want to do for the rest of your life. It’s about getting clear on what you want NEXT.
What do you want more of?
What do you want less of?
What skills do you want to use?
What kind of life do you want your career to support?
You don’t need the whole plan. You just need enough clarity to make your next move.
That’s career momentum. 🤎
I went from Housekeeper to HR Director… but I didn’t get there by just working hard.
I was strategic. 🤎
I got clear about what I wanted my career to look like. I knew I wanted to help people, and I realized HR aligned with that purpose.
From there, I started positioning myself for the opportunities I wanted.
I learned how to pivot when something wasn’t working.
I learned how to negotiate instead of just accepting what was offered.
I built relationships.
I paid attention to the skills I was gaining in every role.
And I stopped looking at each job as just a job—I started looking at where it could take me next.
Hard work matters, but hard work without direction can keep you working hard in the same place.
You have to know where you’re trying to go and start making moves that position you to get there.
That’s exactly why I created Career Momentum—to help other professionals stop feeling stuck and start being intentional about their next move.
Your career can change. But you have to start moving differently. 🤎
Stop disqualifying yourself before they even get a chance to consider you. 🤎
You might not check EVERY box on that job description, but can you do most of the job? Have you solved similar problems? Do you have transferable skills?
Then APPLY.
A job description should not be the reason you count yourself out of an opportunity you could actually be great at.
Stop waiting until you feel 100% qualified. Sometimes you have to give yourself permission to GO FOR IT.
Have you ever almost talked yourself out of applying for a job you really wanted? 👇🏾
Stop letting your job title tell you what you’re qualified for. 🤎
You trained people. You solved problems. You improved processes. You led teams. You handled situations nobody trained you for.
Those skills don’t disappear just because the next position has a different title.
When you’re looking for your next opportunity, stop asking, “Have I had this exact title before?”
Start asking, “What skills have I built that would make me valuable in this role?”
Your title is what they called your position. Your skills are what you actually know how to do. 🌱
Confidence is quiet. Insecurity is loud⚡
