Thank you Mike Butler Racing for getting my shoe fresh for the rest of the season.

Trying a new Penske Racing Shocks valving spec. We hope it will be better for the Peoria Motorcycle Club TT with grip coming off the corners.
We will be testing it at this weekends Galesburg Motorcycle Club Bob Walters Memorial race on July 25th.
It may be a little soft for the amount of grip Trent McVey will give us. But I think it will be fine.

This was how dusty my heat race was today.
8 laps and the air filter was clogged and sucked in.

One of the few district races i will do this year.
I am hoping for the homefield advantage.

UPDATE: there will be a $5,500 purse for the Pro/Am class (251 cc and up)
$1,000 purse for the 250 class

It's that time of year again, our 24th annual Bob Walters Short track race Saturday night July 25th. Come on out for a great night of racing. Those FBI boys of Illinois and hopefully many others will be out for a night of racing. Practice starts at 4 pm and racing to follow. There will be concessions on site, bring your chairs and a cooler to enjoy the show.
We will also have the little ones on the Stacyc bikes

I felt like I had a good reset not racing for a minute. I tested the bike a few times at Galesburg MC and felt the bike was solid. I wanted to go in to Tennessee National Raceway and be the business.

I used the first practice to go in to the corners and scare myself so I could see how hard I could go in.

To go in as hard as I wanted, I actually started riding beyond the setup. So we had to make some changes to get the bike to finish of the corner. That took a session or two longer than it normally should have. This was my first time on the Japanese made front tire. We were also using a mass damper for the front from Countershox. We also used a 3” mag wheel from FB Racing Wheels for the first time.
My crew chief wanted to make sure I was feeling what I was feeling and that we weren't chasing something else.

Bike wise, the bike was good rolling off the trailer. We made one gearing change and then a slight geometry change so I could finish off the corners.

I have been working really hard on my corner entry. The problem now is that my corner exit sucked.

Once we got the bike to turn better, I was able to stich the corners better. The bike was money for the LCQ.

The only problem was that I got involved in a first turn pile up in the LCQ. My exhaust muffler bent in half and was sticking straight up. I had to kick it back down real quick and get back around the track so I would not get put on the back row for the restart.
For the restart, I did everything I needed to do. My bike was awesome and I could get it to do everything I wanted. I was trying to make a move on Jean on the inside on lap 2. He started coming down and I had no where to go. I slowed down the best I could, got in to the back of Jean and went up the track. After that, the muffler was so restricted internally from the crash that I could not catch back the draft to stay with everyone.

My crew chief was wondering why the bike looked so slow out there, then I pointed to the muffler. He did not know it got taco'd.

While the result looks like I sucked, I actually had a really good round. The bike is the best it has been. My riding seems to have taken a step forward. The Nashville track was awesome! AFT gave us a really good racey track. We just need to be even closer when we roll off the trailer for the next round and I need to qualify better. So, yeah, my engine builder better get going on freshening the motor for Duquoin. It doesn't look like I will be making Lima this year.
