All across California, voters overwhelmingly came out in support of Prop 50. Under the newly drawn map, Congressional District 13 includes all of Merced County and parts of Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Madera, and Fresno counties, covering communities such as Modesto, Turlock, Ceres, Salida, Patterson, Lathrop, French Camp, portions of Stockton, Dos Palos, and Mendota, to name a few. This shift dramatically affects thousands of residents, their representation, and ultimately our campaign.

However, what won’t change is my commitment to the families that work hard every day to provide, to strive to live with the freedoms and the rights we all deserve. Our communities deserve safety and prosperity. Our farmers need water without overwhelming policies that take away rights from landowners. Farm laborers and families need common-sense immigration reform to bring an end to the long-running debate that has been used as a political talking point with little to no action. I am committed to supporting strong, secure borders and fully enforcing immigration laws to reduce crime, drug smuggling, s*x trafficking, and gangs across America.

I will fight for these things, as I have fought as Mayor of a small city that, at times, are forgotten. This change only strengthens and motivates me to continue representing the Central Valley. I ask for your continued support, and to earn the support of those who are on the fence. Choose someone who has lived here their entire life, understands the needs, and will work for you, rather than choose uncertainty. I will continue to remain in this race to take this seat back!

In Fresno County at the Fresno County Fair 🇺🇸. I had the chance to speak with many locals and Latino families who share the same values and concerns about Prop 50. They know what’s at stake, and they understand that it will take someone with experience, someone with deep roots in the Central Valley, to represent them and fight for their best interests. The booth was in full swing all week. I’m honored to have the opportunity to support with the efforts.
