Partnerships like these make a lasting impact and strengthen the communities we serve every day.

We are excited to share that CHS has four new billboards along Briggsmore Avenue in Modesto, each highlighting a different part of our work and impact in the community.

One billboard focuses on working at CHS and making a lasting impact in the lives of youth and families. Another shares our mission of caring for children and families throughout Stanislaus County. A third celebrates 50 years of Hutton House, our emergency shelter and drop-in center supporting teens and their families. The fourth highlights the 40th anniversary of Edible Extravaganza and invites the community to join us on September 24 at Modesto Centre Plaza.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to ’s Heat & Air for sponsoring three of these billboards and helping us reach more people throughout Stanislaus County. Your support helps us raise awareness about our programs and connect youth and families with the resources they need to thrive.

Thank you as well to Beard Land & Investment Co. and MET for sponsoring our Edible Extravaganza fundraiser and supporting CHS programs and services.

Next time you're driving along Briggsmore Avenue, keep an eye out for our billboards!

This week, CHS - Ceres Partnership and the CHS - Newman Family Resource Center, Promotoras led a meaningful art activity centered on resilience and personal growth. Using pre-made canvases, participants reflected on how life doesn't always begin with a blank slate. Through creativity, perseverance, and support, we can build upon what we have and create something beautiful.

Promotoras serve as trusted community leaders, connecting families to resources, support, and opportunities while fostering meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging. Through activities like these, they help create spaces where community members can learn, connect, and grow together. Thank you to our Promotoras for sharing their time, wisdom, and heartfelt service with our community.
