Does your Waze app look extra colorful on SR-99 today? 🚔
That’s because CHP officers are out conducting speed enforcement throughout the SR-99 corridor. If Waze is warning you about us, consider it a reminder to slow down.
Speeding increases crash risk and reduces reaction time. Slow down, stay alert, and help keep our roadways safe.

This morning, CHP conducted a speed enforcement stop on SR-132 after a driver was observed traveling well above the posted speed limit during the morning commute.
SR-132 continues to see heavy commuter traffic every day, and excessive speed leaves very little room for reaction time when traffic suddenly slows or stops. A few minutes saved is never worth risking a crash, injury, or worse.
Leave early, stay alert, keep a safe following distance, and remember, the speed limit is there for everyone’s safety.
Drive safe, Stanislaus County. 🚓

89 MPH on a rural county road. That’s a quick way to turn a peaceful drive into a major crash scene. 😕
Earlier today, CHP Officer Hsu, conducted a traffic stop on Santa Fe Avenue in the Denair area, after this driver was observed at 89 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.
Country roads may look open, but they come with hidden driveways, farm equipment, cross traffic, and very little room for error.
Slow down, stay alert, and remember: arriving a few minutes later beats not arriving at all.
