MELISSA MORNING UPDATE 🌀

The feared and forecasted turn toward Jamaica has happened overnight. Melissa has actually grown slightly stronger, likely to strike western Jamaica late this morning with wind gusts over 200mph. This is one of the top 10 strongest hurricanes since detailed weather record measurements began. Passing even Hurricane Katrina.

Per NHC: Jamaica: Remain sheltered! Catastrophic flash flooding,
landslides, and destructive winds will continue through today,
causing widespread infrastructure damage, power and communication
outages, and isolated communities. Total structural failure is
possible near the path of Melissa’s center.

The storm will pass across the western end and central Jamaica today. Heading for Cuba tomorrow. This will be the strongest hurricane to ever make direct landfall in Jamaica. I fear what we see on the other side but know we all stand ready to help as we can. Be safe today Jamaica.

Hurricane Milton is WAY ahead of schedule. We're looking at landfall in the next 4 to 5 hours, probably around 8:30pm, Eastern.

Hurricane Milton is a Cat5 again. Unbelievable.

We have a CAT4 now. Should be a CAT5 soon. Sounds like it will weaken before it hits Tampa Wednesday.

There's another hurricane showing up on the models after Milton. It's projected to hit the Miami area around October 18th if the models hold true. Lot's of destructive action coming from the Gulf. Keep your eyes open.
