A sincere thank you to Downtown Mobile Today for their additional feature highlighting the magnitude and vision behind our De Tonti Square project at 307 N. Jackson Street.
We are incredibly grateful for the light they continue to shine on historic preservation and revitalization efforts happening throughout downtown Mobile. Projects like this represent more than a renovation—they are an opportunity to honor the past while creating a future for these remarkable homes.
Thank you for helping tell the story and for supporting the continued investment in our beautiful downtown community. We can’t wait to share more of this journey as it unfolds.

We are incredibly proud to see our 307 N. Jackson project featured by Downtown Mobile Today. Thank you for helping shine a light on this special home and the vision behind its restoration. We’re honored to play a small part in preserving and revitalizing such an important piece of Mobile’s history, and we can’t wait to share more of the journey as it unfolds.
Three days. That’s all. 👀
We closed on 13 Audubon on Tuesday, and the transformation is already underway. Demo is in full swing, walls are coming down, and the vision is starting to take shape.
This precious Midtown home has a big future ahead, and we’re just getting started.
Stay tuned… the best is yet to come. ✨

1818 Design just purchased this beautiful Colonial Revival-inspired Midtown property yesterday!
Yes… our second property purchase in the last 4 days. 👀 And potentially a third on the horizon (more to come on that soon).
Over the next several months, our team will be simultaneously transforming multiple properties and bringing the community three fully renovated homes we cannot wait to unveil. As always, we’ll be sharing the journey along the way, so stay tuned.
A little teaser for now on 13 Audubon Place:
We are creating a large primary suite with a full ensuite bath on the first floor, while maintaining 3 bedrooms upstairs. The property also features a pool and one-car garage, both of which will be restored to optimal condition.
We can already see the vision beginning to unfold, and we truly cannot wait to bring new life back into this Midtown beauty. ✨

1818 Design has officially closed on our newest restoration project… and this one is BIG.
Welcome to 307 N. Jackson Street in the heart of the historic De Tonti Square district of downtown Mobile. Built in the 1860s, this remarkable two-story home is a Southern vernacular interpretation of Greek Revival architecture with strong Creole and Gulf Coast influences woven throughout its history and character.
And now… it’s our turn to breathe life back into it.
This will be a complete restoration from top to bottom and without question one of the most challenging projects our team has taken on yet. The vision? A thoughtfully reimagined historic residence featuring 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a stunning first-floor primary suite while preserving the soul and integrity of this incredible home.
The walls could tell stories here. Decades of history, generations of life, and now a brand new chapter begins.
We cannot wait to take you all along for the ride as 1818 Design carefully restores another piece of Mobile history. There will be surprises, setbacks, late nights, design decisions, and hopefully a whole lot of magic along the way.
Stay tuned… this one is going to be special. ✨

Here’s to new beginnings, cherished memories, and another historic beauty lovingly restored by 1818 Design.
