We need UPDATE PHOTOS of former Mobile SPCA pets, loving life in their homes! Every week a former dog or cat is chosen to be our Banner Pet of the Week, and yours can be too! Our followers LOVE seeing how happy these pets are in their home environments. Please submit photos to [email protected] along with the year your pet was adopted from us, his or her original name and current name, and any other details you'd like to share. Please put "banner pets" in the subject line. Remember - only LANDSCAPE (HORIZONTAL) PHOTOS will fit our banner. However, we love to see all photos, portrait and otherwise, but unfortunately only landscape photos can be considered for as a Banner Pet. THANK YOU!!

We will be accepting donations for our Fall rummage sale from now until August 1st. Unfortunately, we can only accept furniture and large items that take up floor space the week before the sale (to be held the 1st weekend in Oct) due to space constrictions. Please bring your items to the warehouse drop off area and we'll be glad to help you unload.

GREAT BIG THANK YOU!! First, volunteers Frank Halish and Neil Milligan built this ramp that leads up to the front door of our main office. Then volunteers Paula and Dean Clark stained it - it looks terrific and we are happy to be more ADA compliant.

DO YOU HAVE OLD WORKING RADIOS? WE NEED "EM!!

We need your old AM/FM radio - if it has a plug. NO BATTERY-ONLY radios please because batteries are too expensive. We like to provide music in each of our cat and dog rooms. It is soothing to the animals and in the case of cats, it helps muffle the sound of barking pups that may be in the next room. Do you have an old one laying around that you no longer use? We would love to have it to help soothe our furry residents. Thanks!

PETSMART VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!

We are looking for a few volunteers to go clean kennels and love on the kitties at PetSmart at Airport and McGregor. We need a person to do Tuesdays (or every other Tuesday) and Sundays (one a month? twice a month?) whatever works for you. We need a person for the 3rd & 4th (and occasionally 5th) Sunday of each month. You would never have more than 10 kennels to clean but the kitties get adopted quickly from there so usually it will be fewer kennels. If you think you can help please email Robin at [email protected] and we will set up an appointment to train you on what to do. Once you have your routine down we feel the cleaning would take 60 minutes at most and the kitty cuddle time is up to you!

ROOF! ROOF! WE NEED A NEW ROOF!

Our main building has needed a new roof for over a decade. We have leaks in the warehouse and in almost every room of the office, in the cat rooms and the resale shop. We currently have been getting quotes for about $100K. If we can raise $25,000 we have a $25,000 MATCHING DONATION available! Dog groomer - VOLUNTEER? We have a little Shih Tzu/Terrier mix that needs to be prettied up, under 20 #. Do we have any supporters who groom dogs who would like to donate their services to this little one for us?
