There’s no place like home on Mobile Bay.

Details are where the magic happens.
Mitered and flared corners reminiscent of the homes of old.

Took the fam on a little field trip to explore Carl Sandburg’s stunning rustic home in Flat Rock, NC. It’s incredible to think that this renowned poet, author, and historian penned many of his iconic works right here, including his Pulitzer Prize-winning Lincoln biography.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and named Connemara after an Irish region, the rustic home was cherished by Sandburg and his wife, Lillian. She even introduced a variety of animals, including prized dairy goats, some of which still roam the property today. Highly recommend a visit if you are ever in the area.
