We’re excited to share today’s HR Member Showcase. This one’s all about our unstoppable beast of a drummer 👉 Cameron Alidor 👈

“Born and raised in Mobile, I started out on both the drums and trombone. I played both throughout middle, high school, and college. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Music Business. While there, I joined my first serious band in 2009 called Too Far From Amsterdam. We played all along the Gulf Coast and recorded our self-titled EP in 2011.

I’ve played, recorded, and toured with a myriad of amazing groups, including the Battling Delirium (prog rock, 2013-2014), Last Call Rodeo (country, 2013-2021), Wild Fire (hard rock, 2015-2018, 2022-2024), and Ella Salter & The Sunday Sinners (country, 2022-2024). I’ve also recording with and for many great bands and artists, including Widow Anchor, Ryan Willard (Chaos Theatre, “Symphony Of The Stars”), David Valles, Noah Thompson (Roman Street) Justin Wall, James Willbanks, and more.

I survived a serious accident in November of 2022. I was hit by a car while helping a stranded motorist. After roughly 125 days in the hospital and 10 invasive surgeries, it left me permanently disabled with my left leg. Thanks to the doctors and personnel who helped put me back together, and the love and support of my wife and family, my friends, the local music community, and way too many more to list, I came back more determined than ever to heal up and keep playing music despite the circumstances.

I put together Heavy Rotation with the help of guitarist Garrett Warman in late-2023 with the intent of being the ultimate expression of my abilities and my never ending desire to keep playing music. I’m beyond elated to be a part of something special. These guys are like family to me; I wouldn’t trade a single moment sharing the stage with them for the world.

I also play the drums in three more projects: Fervent Cause, Love Story’s End, and The Ghosts Of The Gallows. I also teach private lessons and record out of my studio in Theodore. I endorse ddrum, Centent Cymbals, Los Cabos Drumsticks, and Attack Drumheads.”

We’re back with today’s HR Member Showcase! Next up is powerhouse guitarist and purveyor of “your mom” jokes 👉 Garrett Warman 👈

“I picked up playing guitar because my oldest brother played bass in a handful of bands and our dad plays guitar and bass as well. My first paid gig was when I was 15 at Moe’s BBQ in downtown Mobile and knew that playing music was what I wanted to do ever since. My three biggest guitar inspirations/hero’s are Mark Tremonti (Creed, Alter Bridge, Tremonti), Mark Morton (Lamb Of God), and Mark Holcomb (Periphery). I’m a huge metal head and an avid Star Wars fan. I also play bass in an indie/alt rock band called No Complications. My favorite thing about this band is getting to play some of my favorite music with friends that are like brothers to me. I also get to harass Doc constantly and antagonize Cameron with ‘your mom’ jokes 24/7. He doesn’t seem to mind.”

We hope everybody’s having a fantastic weekend. Now up to bat for today’s HR Member Showcase is our master bassist, production extraordinaire, and USDA-grade rapscallion 👉 Marshall Mears 👈

“I was born in Mobile and grew up in Daphne. I grew up listening to my father and friends play in the garage every Friday night. Around 8 years old, I built my first drum set out of shoe boxes and laundry baskets. Once my dad decided I was mature enough for a pair of drumsticks, he signed me up for band at Daphne Middle School where I played percussion. Not too long after, I taught myself how to play guitar.

I went to MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University) in Murfreesboro, TN for audio production and a minor in music theory. As an aside, I also played baseball 2006-2010 seasons. I enjoy and am heavily influenced by prog rock/metal and grunge bands including Tool, Poison the Well, Nirvana, Godsmack, Korn, Loathe, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Bleeding Through, and It Dies Today.

Bands and projects I’ve played guitar, wrote, and produced include Battling Delirium (current), Love the Hate (past), and Error Macro (solo). Sole production credits include Fate Effect, Run The Lion, Love The hate, Battling Delirium, Kawaii Noir, Rebecca GIllan, Rise the Phoenix, Heavy Rotation and all solo projects. I play Ernie Ball, DR, D'addario, Fender, Harley Benton, Focusrite, Alvarez, Dunlop, JBL, Sterling by Music Man, and Ibanez.”

Check out today’s HR Member Showcase! Today’s it’s all about our resident shredder and visionary musician 👉 Kevin Bronner 👈

“My interest in guitar piqued at age 11 when older brother purchased an acoustic for me. From there, I started learning songs from my favorite bands at age 12, including Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, and Pantera with no formal training of any kind. I became interested in composing songs after getting a loop station as a gift. This helped me learn lead guitar/improvisation. From age 15 on, I’ve been in a variety of groups, including Consider the Ravens (progressive metal, 2008-2010), False Fate (post-grunge/nu-metal, 2010-2012), and Infinite Regression (extreme metal, 2010-2013).

Candlelit Coronation (post-hardcore/emo 2013-2017) - I helped form this one as lead guitarist/composer and eventually lead vocals. I played two shows as a frontman before it disbanded. The constant line-up changes proved that not only did I have what it takes to sing & scream as a performer, but that I have my own identity with my voice.

Verse Vica (prog metal, 2019-2020) - I was contacted to write and record vocals while living in NC. I really came into my own as a singer, discovered more screaming sounds/techniques, and gained valuable experience as a writer.

Wild Fire (nu-metalcore, 2021-2023) - I joined on rhythm & lead guitar after moving to south Alabama. I participated in writing new songs, shooting a music video, and played two shows before stepping down.

Fervent Cause (metalcore/post-hardcore, 2023-present) - my current original project. My goal is to front my own band, write & perform everything until it attracts more quality musicians, and then make it a group effort. Since the release of its first two singles “Pressure” and “The Dreamer”, it’s been myself and Cameron Alidor on drums.

Heavy Rotation (late 2024-present) - my first cover band ever. I used to feel strongly against playing in a cover band and have since come around to it. Since joining, I’ve had a wonderful time building a brotherhood and playing great music. Grinding the cover band grind keeps me sharp in ways an original band can’t.”

“I started playing guitar in high school with a Fender acoustic that was borrowed from my uncle. My early 20's were spent playing solo acoustic cover gigs and duo gigs with my brother, Michael, on drums. I spent a few years in my latter 20's in and out of several projects that never made it past garage rehearsal. I took a break from music for a few years, got back into acoustic solo gigs, and then took a break again. I spent a few years as the lead vocalist for Love the Hate, followed by yet another hiatus from music. Two years ago, I received a call from Marshall Mears about a project called Heavy Rotation. The rest of my story is currently being written with the help of all of you. Thank you for the continued love and support, and I will see you at the next show!”
