With 20 years of experience in public education, Ms. Dora Lopez has dedicated her career to helping students, educators, and schools thrive. Her leadership experience includes serving as an Assistant Principal at both the elementary and junior high levels, as well as roles in instructional leadership and the classroom.

Throughout her career, Ms. Lopez has helped lead campuses to significant achievements, including an “A” State Accountability Rating, National Schools to Watch recognition, and four consecutive years as a National Showcase Campus through the Capturing Kids’ Hearts program.

Known for her commitment to academic excellence, teacher development, and positive school culture, Ms. Lopez continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and staff. Congratulations, Ms. Lopez, on this exciting new chapter!

With more than 24 years of experience in public education and 13 years of dedicated service to Sharyland ISD, Ms. Nancy Mendez has made a lasting impact on students, staff, and families through her commitment to excellence, leadership, and service.

Having served as a classroom teacher, Teacher Facilitator, and most recently Assistant Principal at Jensen Elementary, Ms. Mendez brings a wealth of experience and a passion for student success to her new role as Principal.

A proud Sharyland ISD alumna, Ms. Hilda Alejandro brings 19 years of educational experience, instructional expertise, and servant leadership to her new role. From the classroom to district-level curriculum leadership and campus administration, she has dedicated her career to helping students and educators succeed.

Rooted in the belief that strong schools are built through meaningful partnerships with families and the community, Ms. Alejandro is committed to providing every student with a high-quality education while fostering character, leadership, and lifelong learning.

Students and families gathered for another exciting session of The Great Reading Quest, enjoying engaging stories, hands-on activities, and opportunities to explore the joy of reading together. Participants also enjoyed a nutritious lunch provided by our Sharyland ISD Child Nutrition Program, and each child received a brand-new book to add to their home library. ❤️📖
