This past something Sunday, May 3 something truly unique happened at the UMN Larson Football Performance Center. 110 scientists, dancers, and UMN Marching Band members came together to bodystorm on a scale we’ve never managed before. We’re still processing the images and videos, but here’s a teaser with more to come!
Reminiscing on “Rules of Life” which premiered in February. This collaboration with Odde and Provenzano Labs is over 15 years in the making.
Using the foundations of what we have learned in Bodystorming over the years, we explored what it is to be inside the violence of a cancer cell.

Come move in the classical modern world of the Jose Limón Technique and Repertory taught by current Limón company members Joey Columbus and Mariah Gravelin and then dive into the athletic and flying contemporary dance styles and Repertory of Carl Flink’s Black Label Movement. This 5 day workshop offers participants rigorous 8 hour days that will challenge and delight those looking to deepen their artistic and physical practice in the heart of Minneapolis, MN, one of the United States most dynamic dance communities. Through this residencies Carl Flink, a former member of the Limón Dance Company and Endorsed Limón Technique Expert Teaching Faculty member, seeks to facilitate participants discovering the intersections between the Limón Technique and his own choreographic exploration with Black Label Movement.
