Meet ✨Roseman and Pa Zsa Zsa✨, Chicken Run Rescue's first permanent sanctuary residents, two beautiful birds whose resilience completely transformed the lives of their caregivers — and revealed the hidden challenges chickens face when people bring them into suburban homes.

🎉A new mural is coming to Minneapolis! And it’s all about compassion for animals! 🐷

Compassionate Action for Animals is partnering with Vegan East to install a large-scale mural designed to spark reflection and action for animals.

The mural will include interactive elements that invite viewers to go deeper, like an audio tour of the mural and opportunities to get involved in the animal movement.

Now we’re inviting YOU to help make it real. Your donation directly supports materials and fair pay for the artist.

A gift of $25 buys a quart of paint. Your donation will literally put paint on the wall!

📣BIG announcement! Compassionate Action for Animals is installing a mural! But we need your help to make it happen! 🐷🎨

This first-of-its-kind public art will invite thousands of daily passersby to expand their circle of care and connect them with ways to take action for animals.

The mural will be located on the side of Vegan East, a bakery in South Minneapolis. We’re currently reviewing applications from 50+ artists. The final design will include interactive elements like a QR code linking to an audio tour of the mural and opportunities to get involved with the animal movement!

The 2026 Vegan Chili Cook-Off brought together bold flavors, creative recipes, local chefs, and a community ready to crown this year’s winner 👀🔥

But beyond the competition, the event became something bigger:
✨ creative plant-based food
✨ surprising flavor combinations
✨ passionate community members
✨ and a reminder of why community matters!

Attendees tasted six completely different interpretations of what chili can be, and the reactions say it all!
