This year’s New Year Card theme is the lucky dragonfly - complete with dragonfly good luck charm. Did you get yours?
The gorgeous illustrations were done by my good friend Sean () who has designed the card them the past 5 years as well. But unlike previous years, this year there are four variations. Which is your favorite?? I can’t pick - I love them all!
If you didn’t get a card but want one, DM me your mailing address. (And if you want jewelry updates, add your email address as well.)

You lucky, lucky October babes! I won’t lie … I’m jealous of your birthstone. But of course - you don’t need to be born in October to wear these gorgeous gems.

I got the best surprise in the mail a few days ago - a friend sent me some rocks from Montana. Not gems, mind you, but rocks - actually, these super cool rocks with circular divots in them. (To my geologist friends - would these have been made by glacial activity?)
“You can put your rings in them!” she said. Indeed , I will! Thanks for the super sweet gift and for inspiring this mini photoshoot! 🩶🩶

Check out some of the new pieces that are now online! These Origami earrings and necklaces feature rich, vibrant autumn hues combined with oxidized silver and 18k gold.

New work coming soon ... to my upcoming trunk show in Maine! I am beyond excited to be visiting .mcveighjewelry on August 30 & 31.
I've never been to Maine and all I've been hearing about it is how absolutely stunning it is - I cannot wait! I'm going to spend a few extra days there seeing Acadia National Park (another stamp in my National Park Passport for all of you other National Parks nerds out there 😉), and for the first time ever, going glamping! ⛺️🥂 And then a little time in Portland before heading home.
If you have recommendations, drop them in the comments! Especially if you have a favorite part of Acadia!
(And for anyone who can't make it to Maine, they'll be going up on my website soon too.)
New and gorgeous photos by

It's always a good day when I get new images from - the work is beautifully photographed, and often I get a few lovely, gorgeously arranged compilation shots to share on social media! Isn't this SO pretty? 💖
i'm excited about these new multi-color Origami earrings, and what a pretty way to share them! Thank you, Cole!

Hey August babies! Did you know your month has more than one birthstone? I’m doubling down today and showing two!
Most people know peridot 💚, but spinel is also a birthstone for August, and it comes in a bunch of colors, including this cool gray! 🩶
Both of these lovelies are set in Fairmined 18k gold!

Have you ever sold a pair of earrings without the matching necklace or vice versa, and ended up with a bunch of half sets? Ever made something and then decided there might be a better way to do it, and never made it the same way again? (Or broken one stone in a pair of earrings and turned the remaining stone into a pendant? 🤭) Welcome to my sample sale inventory! Swipe to see just a few of the things I'm bringing.
(Also on hand will be oddball chains, retired collections from *years* ago, and a no-longer-in-production wedding collection sample set - yes...really!)

I needed to see my Origami pieces in all 18k yellow gold, and so happy with the result! This set featuring recycled diamonds, pink tourmaline and pink sapphire. 💗

A little something new and different - this pale pink Nigerian morganite tablet had an unusual shape and I had so much fun turning it into this asymmetrical pendant with tube set diamonds. All in 18k gold.
The morganite is from and I thought it looked extra pretty shown on this beautiful blown glass bowl made by local (to Minneapolis) artist Abegael Uffelman .u

Thank you to for this lovely post featuring my work!
And thanks as well to for photo 1; for photo 3; for photos 4 & 5; and for photo 6! 📸

Let me introduce you to Karin who is a jewelry designer⛓️💎📿
So Karin, can you tell us a little bit more about your work? 😊😍
« Of course, with pleasure! 🙋♀️
My collection is inspired by Origami. These designs push the boundaries of traditional jewelry to become small-scale wearable sculpture. I developed my folding technique to create pieces that have a graceful fluidity and big visual impact. Each piece is made by me in my Minneapolis studio with a focus on ethically sourced materials, such as recycled metals and gemstones that are fair-trade, recycled, domestically sourced, or purchased from gem buyers who have direct relationships with miners from small, artisanal mines ».
Thank You Karin! 😊🌸
It’s so Beau-Ti-Ful! ☁️☁️☁️
