🚨 Spoiler alert: birth control didn’t fix my hormone imbalances.
For nearly a decade I took a pill every day not knowing it was masking symptoms my body was creating as a cry for help.
What I didn’t know then was that when you’re on the pill, you don’t have a true menstrual cycle.
Your hormones (the ones responsible for ovulation, energy, mood, metabolism, fertility, etc.) are completely suppressed.
So when I came off it, it wasn’t that my body suddenly “broke” — it’s that years of imbalances were finally revealed.
