Another ProKart milestone!

Rev cracked the top 10 in overall points! Points can be both earned and lost, so maintaining his spot will always be a challenge based on both his performance and the performance of others. But here we are right now and we’ll enjoy it!

Well, shoot…

This was our view when we got the notification that tonight’s Eve of Destruction was cancelled, and appropriately so.

But this is what we do - if we have a chance to race we will put forth every possible effort to make it, rain or shine. We spent several hours in the garage last night, preparing as we would for any race, and this morning we tied up all the loose ends that normally pop up on a regular race day.

We’re thankful that we have the opportunity to compete here at Elko, and we are looking forward to getting back on the track again!

I think our number one goal for next year is to finish a race with all four wheels and tires intact 🤪! After that, we’re gonna add to that win total!

We were out in the garage last night working a hard to get ready for one last race day today, weather permitting. Everybody pray that the rain goes away and that Rev can tear it up one last time in 2026!!!

What a great night!

Rev was super fast tonight, missing fastest qualifier by a mere .015 seconds.

Fast qualifier rolled a 6 and they did a reverse order from there, meaning Rev started in 5th place. He charged right up to the front, actually leading for a bit before settling into second place. A tangle with another car resulted in a lost valve stem on the LR tire, causing Rev to lose both power and handling. He pushed through, finishing a strong third place tonight.

We had to fight through a bit of adversity seemingly at every turn tonight, and Rev handled it like it was nothing. I’m so proud of this kid!!!

He practiced!!!!

Got down to a 15.8, but reported that the front end was loose. Sure enough - RF spindle nuts were a bit loose.

It’s a game of constant adjustments, adaptation, intuition, frustration, and Lady Luck.

Hoping to get a third practice!!!

Well…no practice THIS round. Rev said the car wasn’t accelerating. Turns out the back cylinder wasn’t firing. Limped it to the pits and threw in my last Autolite and both cylinders came to life!

IT’S RACE DAY!!!!!

Just waiting for practice to start. Rev’s ready to hop back in ol’ #57 and try for another win tonight! It’ll be a crowded field, but with first place set to win $600 instead of $100, it’s going to make for some intense competition!

#57 Revelin Heitkamp picked up a Bando motor from us back in July and headed to Elko, MN, where they brought home a 3rd-place finish on August 1st. Then, this past weekend, his son picked up his FIRST WIN!

Epilogue:

As part of the post-mortem after Rev’s 3-wheel joyride last Saturday night we discovered that he was riding on his control arm bolts, as evidenced by the lack of head left on this bolt. Another 100 feet and there would have been nothing left for the socket to grab!
