I’m thrilled to announce the release of my new song, In Pursuit of Character in my BIO 🎶✨! For me, music and writing aren’t just therapy or hobbies, they’re my way of reflecting on my journey as a Black man constantly defining my identity. I even rescheduled the drop to ensure my heart was in the right place. 🙏🏾 I’m grateful to God for the gift of storytelling and the ability to share messages drawn from my lived experiences and His goodness.

Gordon Parks once said, “I chose my camera as a weapon against all the things I dislike about America.” If you know me, you understand how powerful this quote is for my story. For me, rapping is one of my weapons, a way to challenge narratives 📝, illuminate truths, and paint intricate stories. I thank my family for sharing so much timeless music with me from the Golden Era of Hip Hop. I use my pen to create meaningful and tangible change while shining my light as a Christ ambassador.

For my 29th birthday, I’ve been reflecting on how I show up in the world. If you’re like me, someone who’s lived in multiple places and navigated life as an artist within various communities, from family to friends, it can be hard to understand what “home” truly means and what family really is. I’ve honestly got so good at performing and masking. What I’ve come to realize is the concept of chosen family. What you choose and allow into your life shows your focus and what you believe about yourself. From the decisions and choices you make all the way down to the people you befriend. I believe Christ exemplified this very essence. He didn’t just accept those He knew, but pursued and layed His life down for everyone, regardless of their background, status or character. Learn to live your truth.

I don’t just pray to be used by God, I long to be led by Him.

Organizing a men’s ministry with my brothers has been one of the most fruitful parts of 2024. Together, we’re cultivating a movement that uplifts, inspires, and transforms hearts.

Kingdom men need spaces where they don’t have to perform or showboat accomplishments, but can simply be and grow in the Lord.

Today marks 3 years since I took Brianna on our first date, and wow, was I naive. Like many, I bought into the idea that friends shouldn’t date friends, so I used to date randos. Not trying to be petty—well, maybe a little 🤣—but what I really want to say is this: once my heart was fully settled on Jesus and I found contentment in my singleness, I gained the revelation and courage to pursue my wife.

My approach shifted from just wanting to grow individually or having someone by my side, to truly loving each other, serving God wholeheartedly, and impacting the world together. Brianna had always been a great friend with amazing character—not because she was trying to impress me or anyone else, but because that’s just who she is. She makes people better.
