Sneak peek! These glass wall pieces (soon to be wall sculptures) are my latest creations in the studio working at . I’m making series in different color combinations that will be elevated off the wall! Join me during Art-A-Whirl to see these sculptures in person May 15-17.

A question…What should I title these new glass wall sculptures? They are in-process and have an organic feel. I’ve been busy in the past month working on repeating this shape, which reminds me of a nebula. A nebula is an interstellar cloud of dust, which acts as a nursery for new stars or the remnants of old ones. I was originally thinking of them as flowers, but that doesn’t seem to fit. Eventually, they will be installed as an art installation on the wall. I’ve been working in the hot shop at to create a new series of sculpted glass pieces.

MCAD sure knows how to throw a fun party! What a great evening with art friends, raising funds going to a great cause for MCAD art student scholarships last Saturday. I received a scholarship as an undergrad, and it helped me so much financially. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back and I’m excited to report that my painting found a new home.

Happy almost spring! What are you creating? Bright colors have been the focus of my work lately, emerging from the heaviness I’ve been feeling. Seeds and leaves are new beginnings. Spring is the time when I find myself more and more in studio as part of my yearly creative cycle. During art mentoring sessions, I remind my artist friends there are no blocks to inspiration but seasons of ebb and flow.

What’s your favorite color? Mine is blue for sunny skies and deep blue water. I created this aluminum sculpture with symbolic meaning for resilience and adaptability. It will soon be installed permanently at the new Cybersecurity center University. It measures 38” high x 34” x 4” titled Ombré.

I love trees….Always have always will! Went on a hike this weekend to take photos of “skeleton trees”, as I call them to see the structure of trees without leaves! Maybe a few of these will end up in paintings as collage with encaustic. I took photos of these trees about eight years ago and it’s fun to see how big they’ve gotten but I recognized my old friends. .
