A few highlights from MELP's Summer Intensive English Program. This summer students interacted with local people and experienced local culture through weekly "Community Contact" field trips. They also participated in other social activities on Fridays. As you can see, they really got around the Twin Cities and had some fun, too!

MELP students had a great time visiting with the residents at the Pillars as part of their classes in the Summer Intensive English Program!

Earlier this month, we welcomed students from the University of Minnesota's Minnesota English Language Program. Their program provides language instruction for international students, professionals, and visiting scholars.

We are so grateful for their partnership and to the resident volunteers to help make these meaningful conversations and connections possible!

Join us for the LAST Culture Talks of the summer Wednesday 7/22 from 3:30-4:30pm. We’ll be outside behind 216 Pillsbury Drive playing games, listening to students’ favorite songs, and enjoying snacks and cold drinks. All UMN students, scholars, faculty, and staff are welcome!
