I apologize, I’m trying to change the name from Indigeneity Rising to Good Medicine but it’s not working right now. Keep checking back when I get it solved. You do see a new thumbnail photo of me as Roya, the host and a new program description. Ahhh, we’re back together again! I’ll be in Studio 4 Directions LIVE tonight at 6:00 P.M. for two whole hours with the “Pilot,” Bobby P. We’ll be reprising together our Minnesota State Fair appearance and broadcast/stream.

Robert Pilot , Host of “NATIVE ROOTS RADIO PRESENTS: I’M AWAKE, THE BEST OF,” and myself will be talkin’ up the airwaves and streamosphere during our regular 6 and 7 o’clock hours on Friday night. Join us for spinning up some Indigenous/Native music classics and new selections from Creative Natives across Turtle Island. And, of course news, personalities, events and opinions, you betcha, about Mni Sota and the rest of Indian Country.

We’re in the middle of the KFAI Annual Fall Membership Pledge Drive. You can show your appreciation for all the “ace” Indigenous/Native hosts and programs at KFAI Fresh Air Radio. We’ll have live operators, standing by in Studio 5, ready to take your call of financial support, ayeee!

Sharing with her my recollections and reminisces about Franklin Avenue to be presented in the “playbill” for the upcoming Guthrie Theater/Indigenous Direction production, “FOR THE PEOPLE,” (FastHorse/Defoe) previews begin Saturday, October 7. Hello all my relatives out there listening across Turtle Island (and beyond). As of this past Sunday, a new page was created for my presence at KFAI, reflecting the name of a weekly talk show about Native Creatives. The name you can look for is, “GOOD MEDICINE,” heard every Friday at 6:00 P.M. Central Time (adjust for your time zone accordingly).

Tune in or stream every week for one hour, to hear stories, profiles and events about the wonderful arts, culture and community of Native Americans and other Indigenous Peoples, here in Minnesota and globally elsewhere. By highlighting and celebrating this wonderful talent and their artistry, we make “good medicine” together and share it for healing, understanding and inspiration.

Be sure and catch it by “friending” the new page (as of Saturday, September 30, this page will become inactive and archived). And, unless made known otherwise to Indigeneity Rising, your name on the IR friends list will be added to the new Good Medicine friends list.

Join us at the KFAI/Tamu Grill stage for an afternoon of music, and family oriented entertainment. See the schedule for all the great programming, vocalists, bands and hosts.

Then later, join us as we play some Indigenous Peoples music, Native American movement anthems and some great NDN contemporary tunes including the “classics,” ayee!!

Finally, we have the privilege of introducing, “THE PRETENDIANS,” a popular local Native American band, beginning at 4:00 P.M. They will share some selections from their recent EP drop.

At 8:00 A.M., we’ll be on-air LIVE with Don Eubanks (Ojibwe) and Robert Pilot (Ho-Chunk), drinking tea, conversing about Indian Country and enjoying each other’s company as we celebrate Minnesota American Indian Month at KFAI Fresh Air Radio, and part of 24 Hours Of Indigenous And Native Programming known as, “TURTLE ISLAND VOICES RISING.”

In just two hours (12 Midnight), KFAI Fresh Air Radio will begin it’s annual 24 Hours of Indigenous & Native Programming, “TURTLE ISLAND VOICE RISING.” The day will begin with Native American music and artists/performers. We’ll be participating later in the morning, but more on that tomorrow.
