Monarch Festival number 11 is in the books for me! We made over 1300 posters with festival goers despite a few hours of rain. No one batted in eyelash at the deluge, and everyone supported the miraculous long-haul journey of the monarch butterfly super generation back to Mexico. As if by magic, my second cousin and his family happen to be cruising through town just in time to drop by and pull a print! Iβm so thankful for all of the connections that art and nature provide in my life.

A huge thank you to all the friends new and old who came by Casket Arts studio # 316 for ! It was my first AAW as an artist, and I loved getting to connect with so many people about my art practice, now in its 20th year! I truly would not have become an artist in any other state than Minnesota. The support of the arts is prioritized by both legislation and the general public making it possible for us to have such an incredibly vibrant arts sector. Thank you to everyone who purchased prints, took time to talk about the vagus nerve, or brought their families and friends to take a moment to observe plants and draw with walnut ink. πππ
