🐙 World Octopus Day is October 8!

Stand up for octopuses and keep octopus farming from becoming a reality. We need lasting protections to prevent octopus farming and the expansion of other forms of carnivorous aquaculture.

Nueva Pescanova, a large Spanish seafood company, abandoned its plans to build the world’s first commercial octopus farm in Gran Canaria, Spain due to a successful campaign that demonstrated the strength of public, scientific and political opposition to octopus farming. However, this does not eliminate the risk of similar projects emerging elsewhere.

Tell the European Commission to ban octopus farming and the sale of products from octopi.

Today is World Farmed Animals Day. It's not a day for celebration, but rather, advocacy for the victims of exploitation.

The Animal Rights Coalition has been advocating for farmed animals for decades, back when many believed the industry was simply too big to challenge. We’ve never accepted that. And we won’t stop now.

We're asking you to do something for farmed animals.
