!!! The Function is now sliding scale, starting at $0.
Pay what you can. Come as you are.

We built THE FUNCTION to celebrate our artists and community, and to help sustain the work we do together year after year. But we kept feeling a tension: all the effort, all the excitement... and a ticket price standing in the way.

So we’re changing it. We believe the joy and the celebration belong to everyone. Public Functionary is committed to throwing a good party for all of us.

Gratitude to the Cultural Districts Arts Fund, administered by the City of Minneapolis Arts & Cultural Affairs Department, for making this shift possible.

More details/line-up coming soon.

We can’t wait to see you there. June 13.

You’re invited to a year-end celebration at PF!

“How Does it Feel?” is a nod to the artistic legacy of D’Angelo, and we’ve asked two of the best DJ’s in Minneapolis to embody the sound of that era for the night.

Dance parties have always been an important part of PF culture, and it’s been too long since we’ve thrown a proper one. So, in the reflective spirit of the year’s end, and all that lies ahead, we invite our community of artists and dreamers to a sexy shindig at PF.

Tickets are sliding scale starting at: $5.
Pay what you can. All proceeds continue to support PF programming in 2026.

Artist Talk with Silent Fox

Saturday, Dec 6 at 4PM
PF Upstairs Gallery #247

A closing-day conversation with Silent Fox, moderated by Tricia Heuring. Come spend time with the work and hear from the artist before the exhibition comes down.

12/02/2025

Silent Fox is sitting down with us for an artist talk on My flowers died; so I’ll bury them and plant new ones.

We’ll gather in gallery #247 to talk about the stories, grief, & renewal woven through this body of work — and the process behind creating a space for reflection, inheritance, and imagining what we plant next.
studio is a Minnesota-based visual artist, designer, and muralist whose community-rooted practice explores reflection, healing, and the emotional landscapes we inherit. Their debut solo exhibition, My flowers died; so I’ll bury them and plant new ones, uses painting, print, and virtual reality to examine how grief and learned patterns move through families like roots underground—asking what we keep watering, and what we choose to plant anew.

Artist Talk with Silent Fox: Saturday, Dec 6 at 4PM
Location: 1500 Jackson St NE #144, Minneapolis, MN 55413

Don’t forget: both Silent Fox’s My flowers died; so I’ll bury them and plant new ones and PF Studios’ Venus Reincarnated are closing this weekend.

Final Week Gallery Hours:
Thursday 1–5PM
Friday 1–5PM
Saturday 1–5PM
