New Report Offers Vision for Future of Downtown 12/19/2023

The Minneapolis Foundation completed an exhaustive report, or a "call to action" as they have termed it on what is needed to restore our state's largest city in the post pandemic world. It's worth reading, debating, modifying, and acting on!

Some of us have started this process but we need more people actively engaged in the process. The energy and ideas that come from a city are magnified throughout our suburbs and state. The same is true when they are not performing well.

The Fine Line Consortium Building

Located in the middle of the historic Warehouse District and North Loop neighborhood, the Fine Line Consortium Building, formerly known as the Consortium Building, shares a special place in the Twin Cities business and entertainment community. Originally built in 1903 as Minneapolis was coming of age as a trade and commerce center, the building was renovated in 1987 as the neighborhood was becoming known for its many artists and galleries.

The anchor tenant was the now nationally known Fine Line Music Cafe designed as a showcase for emerging artists like Sheryl Crow, Jacob Dylan, Lady Gaga, and Prince who was tapped to open the club. The place is still rocking after nearly 35 years of sold-out shows!

Now refreshed again the building features five floors of space for tech and creative tenants in a warm timber and brick setting with spectacular skyline views. With a surface parking lot next to the property plus convenient access to all the amenities downtown and the Warehouse District has to offer, freeways, light rail, and the skyway system this boutique building is a highly sought-after location.

The atrium was just updated and features wood paneled walls and vintage photos that reflect the musical heritage of the property, as well as the energy of the neighborhood.
