I know the algorithm will de-prioritize this post. But I like shouting into the void! The screenshot below is from an email from The Playwrights' Center. As you can see, the new Federal government is choosing to try to kill all references to and support of diversity, equity and inclusion (not to mention trans folks -- do a Google search of the Stonewall Inn plaque and you will see what I mean, but that's another story). Let's remember that we as Americans get to support whatever we want to support, and these are our tax dollars being diverted. And try also to remember that DEI initiatives are not designed to elevate less-qualified people of color over more-qualified white people, but to help elevate more-qualified people of color over less-qualified white people. Just a thought. Happy Valentine's Day!
