Register now for our webinar, Measuring spatial accessibility to healthcare: An applied example using IPUMS PMA data, taking place on August 11 at 10:00am CT.

There is a strong connection between place, healthcare access, and health, however the data traditionally used to measure spatial access are not universally available; this issue is particularly acute in countries with the poorest health outcomes. Building on a series of posts on the IPUMS DHS Spatial Analysis and Health Research Hub Blog, we are conducting a hands-on, step-by-step demonstration of a raster-based healthcare accessibility workflow in Python and R using globally-available, free, and high-resolution data. We will describe open-source code for measuring access to health care infrastructure across space, then attach this measure to spatially-referenced individual data in the Kenya 2020 data in IPUMS PMA. https://bit.ly/45GRIUZ
