Back with another FREE yoga class (or several, I should say):

Join Embody Yoga EVERY Sunday (unless it rains💁🏾‍♀️) at Johnsons Park for our FREE Yoga In The Park series.

We start THIS Sunday at 10:30am. PLEASE NOTE, the regular time for this class is 10am but due to my schedule this Sunday, I am bumping the start time back to 10:30am. Every other Sunday after that, class will meet at 10am.

Yes, bring the kids.

Please leave pets at home.

No registration is required.

Bring a mat.

We have LOTS happening this week in AND out of the studio:

Friday, 6:15pm-Join us for another BEGINNER FRIENDLY Hip Hop Step Aerobics class. A step board will be provided for each participant. Come move your body, increase your heart rate and have a good time while doing so. We have 5 spots left! Register now on our site or via MINDBODY. Cost: $25

Intro to Reformer Program: Become a Pilates hottie in our reformer class for beginners. When you sign up, you get 4 introductory classes in which you will learn a variety of exercises that target your core, arms, glutes and thighs. After completing the program, you can sign up for the other reformer classes that we offer at our studio.

Son Salutations: Pentecost Edition-Jam will be back with another bible based hot yoga class THIS Sunday at 10:15am in observance of Pentecost Sunday. There are only a few spots left in this class so you are encouraged to sign up now on our site or via MINDBODY.

Cost: $15 or class pass

Yoga In The Park: Join us THIS Sunday at 10:30am* for the kickoff of our annual series of FREE yoga classes at Johnsons Park! No registration is required. Just bring a mat to practice on. Johnsons Park is located off of 20th & Fond Du Lac in Milwaukee.

*please note, our first Yoga in the Park class this Sunday will start at 10:30am NOT our regularly scheduled time of 10am. This is because I have a Pilates class beforehand at the studio that I don’t want to sub out or cancel. Every Sunday AFTER this Sunday, class will begin at our normal time of 10am. Don’t worry, I’ll remind you about this often.

Ready to try Reformer Pilates?

Join us at Embody Yoga for our Intro To Reformer program.

This program is a 4 week long commitment (1 class/per week on the same day and time). Each class will be a fun and FULL body workout lasting 50 minutes.

In the program we’ll introduce you to the reformer and a variety of exercises that will target and tone your arms, shoulders, glutes, thighs and calves and increase your flexibility overall.

Each week we’ll review the exercises learned the week before and introduce new ones. By the end of the program you’ll:

1. Be comfortable and confident on the Reformer
2. Know all of the foundational exercises (and then some).
3. Be more toned and fit

PROGRAM OPTIONS:
Saturday, 9:30am (starting 6/7)-SOLD OUT
Saturday, 11:30am (starting 6/7)
Sunday, 11am (starting 6/8)
Tuesday, 7pm (starting 6/3)

Please select ONE program day and time. The day you select will be the program you participate in for the entire 4 week program. Due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate requests to mix and match program days.

Hey y’all! 👋🏾

Recently, I was asked to lead a yoga class at The Domes.

It was an immediate YES! for me as I’ve always wanted to teach at The Domes 🤗

I’d love for you to join me if you’re available:

When: THIS Wednesday, May 28th

Time: Doors open at 5pm (you can come early, set up, explore…etc). Yoga will begin promptly at 6pm. We will begin and end practice with sound healing provided by .

What to expect: A beginner friendly yoga class with some challenges here and there. Good music. Beautiful setting.

Other details: This is a FREE event. No registration required. Just show up. Bring a mat. You can come early and explore The Domes or explore them after yoga (the event won’t officially end until 8pm).

This free event is part of the 2025 Healthy County Challenge spearheaded by County Executive David Crowley and in partnership with the Milwaukee County Parks, Milwaukee Parks Foundation and others.

SHE’S BACK….

Well, technically, she never left 😂 Our yoga instructor Tye will be leading a 4 week long XTREME Hip Hop Aerobics Step class…for beginners at Embody Yoga starting THIS Friday.

Last time she led a step class at EY, y’all LOVED it. And I got so many requests for more classes and, specifically, a beginner friendly one. So here it is.

Class Dates:
Friday, May 16th & 23rd
Friday, June 6th & 13th
6:15-7:15pm

We are reserving at least 10 spots in this offering for people who plan to register for the entire 4 week program. Those folks will have a step board reserved for their use each week and will only pay $80 for all 4 classes. Drop-ins are welcome (as long as we have step boards available) at a rate of $25/class.

Pilates Classes | Embody Yoga Pilates is an exercise system that changes the look and function of the body. Through a series of exercises, our students strengthen their abs, glutes, legs, arms and more- developing lean muscle tone, improving posture and gaining flexibility.

As you go about scheduling your classes for the week, consider these 😉:

Hot Yoga-this one may seem like a no brainer as it’s the most common offering on our class schedule. HOWEVER-it might be time to level up! This week, we challenge those who’ve taken 10 or more Hot Yoga (beginners) class to try an open level Hot Yoga class. You’re ready:
Monday, 6pm
Wednesday, 5:30am
Friday, 5:30am
Saturdays, 8:15am
Sundays, 10:15am

Hot Pilates Mat: now our most popular class, we invite you to see what the hype is all about. Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6pm. Saturdays, 9:30am.

Black molasses: Black writers coming together to write together. Simple as that. Joins us every Wednesday from 7:30-8:30pm for some writing prompts, tea, snacks and community. No registration required.

Intro to Reformer-Join us for the next round of Intro to Reformer programs starting in May. The program consists of 1 class a week for 4 consecutive weeks and introduces you to beginner level exercises on the reformer. You’ll walk away from this experience more toned, capable and ready to move into our next level reformer classes.

This is our foundation, our base…Yoga, yes, but Vinyasa Flow specifically. If you take our hot yoga classes, the style of yoga that you are taking is Vinyasa Flow yoga. What does that mean exactly?In any Vinyasa Flow class, we sync our movement with our breathing. With this connection of the breath and movement, the practice develops ‘flow’ or a steady progression from one pose to the next. You’ve tried the hot version of Vinyasa Flow (i.e., ANY of our Hot Yoga classes) but have you tried our Vinyasa Flow (Unheated) class? 👀If you’re wondering whether or not you’ll sweat and feel challenged like you would in Hot Yoga, the answer is YES. Come test your practice. Wednesdays, 6pm. BINGO TIP: This class counts as a ‘Wednesday night class’, a ‘New Class’ (if you’ve never tried it before), and can count towards your 3 yoga classes in a week or 20 classes in a month 😉
