When MCTS Operator Juan J. noticed two little girls alone on his route, he had a gut feeling that they were lost and immediately called dispatch. Because of Juan’s quick reaction, the girls were able to get help finding their way home.

Meet MCTS Vice President/Deputy CEO Ruben Salas!
Ruben’s career in transit began right out of high school. Over nearly three decades, he worked his way from frontline positions into leadership, bringing a wealth of transit experience to MCTS.
His Hispanic heritage, family and upbringing have also shaped the way he leads. His father is from León, Guanajuato, Mexico, and Ruben credits his family with teaching him the importance of hard work, perseverance and respect.
His philosophy? “Get up and do it again.”
Get to know Ruben beyond the badge and hear more about his journey, his heritage and what brought him to MCTS.
