There’s so much to explore this month at the Charles Allis Art Museum, from poetry workshops and wellness experiences to artist talks and hands-on printmaking.

A special highlight is the opening of "Strike at Allis Chalmers and Other Wisconsin Stories," a solo exhibition by Artist in Residence John Fleissner. The Opening Reception takes place on June 25 from 5 to 8 PM.

The exhibition features large-scale woodcut prints, film, photography, and historical artifacts that explore the 1941 and 1946 strikes at the Allis Chalmers plant, as well as Wisconsin's rich history of labor movements, social activism, and folk culture. Through his work as a printmaker, educator, and community organizer, Fleissner uses art as a tool for storytelling and social progress. 🖼️

✨ Other June events include:
📖 Woodland Pattern Poetry Workshops
