James Luciano "Salsa" Garcia was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 12, 1972. Sadly on November 8, 2024, at the age of 52, Jim was called to his heavenly home after his battle with cancer at his home in Sonora, CA. Jim was married to Kerry Garcia, and they enjoyed traveling, hiking, swimming, and spending as much time together as they could.
Jim had the biggest heart and filled every room with his light. His humor was infectious, but he could always be counted on as the voice of reason in the most pivotal of moments. As the one and only drummer for Cause For Revelation, he helped write and record every one of our records, Surviving Destruction (2004), Resurrecting The Hostility (2010), and Armageddon Anthems (2013). Always the life of the party, Jim loved and cherished the relationships he made out on tour throughout the US and Europe.
We rest easy knowing that Jim's legacy will live on forever. His contribution to the metal, death metal, and hardcore scenes will be celebrated for years to come. Do him the honor and give one of his records a spin and celebrate a life well lived!
Visitation for James will be Sat. Dec. 7, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waucousta (W2011 County Road F, Campbellsport) followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church and burial to follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Oberg will officiate.
